I'm Information Systems Director for my company, and here's some of the best hardware suppliers I deal with.

• 3Com - one of the few end-to-end network providers
• Apple Computer
• Ascend -A Big player in Routers - will swichers unthrone them?
• Cabletron -They're now seeming to focus on the Telco market...
• Cisco Systems - A biggie in the WAN market - there are alternatives though...
• Compaq - Been making computers for a long time - high end stuff.
• Cray Research - now a subsidiary or another major player...
• Dell - always a player...
• Digital Equipment Corporation - will the take over by Compaq affect 64 bit leader ?
• Gateway2000 - Very good computers at fair prices. The Moo-U of mail order.
• Hewlett-Packard - Printers still their forte
• IBM - surprise - they lead the pack now in HD data density and are challenging the processor speed war - return of Big Blue Dominance Imminate ?
• Insight Direct - Almost a one stop shop, hardware and software.
• Intel - The big blue of microprocessors.
• Micron Electronics - Among the fastest at competitive prices.
• Motorola
• QMS, Inc.
• Silicon Graphics
• Sun Microsystems
• Texas Instruments Notebook Computers - We have a cupla TI notebooks, and they're good.
• Toshiba - known for excellent note book computers - I sure like my Tecra 750CDT !
